Vintage is a commonly used term, and
depending who you ask, you'll get a variety of answers. Okay- so
we start with the textbook style version:
Often confused with "antique" (where an item must be
of a certain age) vintage is a much broader category with fewer
restrictions. Vintage clothing
can be referred to as recycled, previously worn garments with a broad range of
style, as it includes clothing from around the world and as old as the turn of
the century to present day.
Vintage is about finding and recycling the styles and creatvitiy of the past
and bringing it into your modern lifestyle. It is about creating a unique style
that fuses the past and present- a style that fully compliments your unique taste
and style. Often, vintage means one-of-a-kind, and out of production.
Vintage is recycled. Vintage is completely unique, vintage is classic,
vintage is trendy. It is worn, broken-in, seasoned, energized and
tailored to its owner.
Vintage is something you can take ownership in. It breaks out of the "big
box" mindset and empowers its owner to be unique.
